To the best of my recollection, what Barack (Hussein) Obama actually said during the debate was this: the war on terror is real.
Of course, this is not the first time the corporate fascist media has alter or omitted information from what are essentially public documents. For example, as the late anti-fascist researcher Mae Brussell once noted, the Washington Post and (or) the San Francisco Chronicle altered or deleted the mention of NutraSweet in a Congressional investigation during the 1980's, which suggested the chemical causes memory loss, confusion and other severe health problems. (see Mae Brussell's World Watchers program number 806).
There is absolutely no doubt the corporate fascist media (in Winston Smith-like fashion) has been altering or emitting texts in public documents for decades in a sustained campaign which is part and parcel of what Naomi Klein has described as a 'war on memory.'
