Iraq Genocide: 1.03 Million Dead

More than one million Iraqis have died as a result of the conflict in their country since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, according to research conducted by one of Britain's leading polling groups.

The survey, conducted by Opinion Research Business (ORB) with 2,414 adults in face-to-face interviews, found that 20 percent of people had had at least one death in their household as a result of the conflict, rather than natural causes.

The last complete census in Iraq conducted in 1997 found 4.05 million households in the country, a figure ORB used to calculate that approximately 1.03 million people had died as a result of the war, the researchers found.

The margin of error in the survey, conducted in August and September 2007, was 1.7 percent, giving a range of deaths of 946,258 to 1.12 million.

ORB originally found that 1.2 million people had died, but decided to go back and conduct more research in rural areas to make the survey as comprehensive as possible and then came up with the revised figure.

The research covered 15 of Iraq's 18 provinces. Those that not covered included two of Iraq's more volatile regions -- Kerbala and Anbar -- and the northern province of Arbil, where local authorities refused them a permit to work.

Estimates of deaths in Iraq have been highly controversial in the past.

Medical journal The Lancet published a peer-reviewed report in 2004 stating that there had been 100,000 more deaths than would normally be expected since the March 2003 invasion, kicking off a storm of protest.

The widely watched Web site Iraq Body Count currently estimates that between 80,699 and 88,126 people have died in the conflict, although its methodology and figures have also been questioned by U.S. authorities and others.

ORB, a non-government-funded group founded in 1994, conducts research for the private, public and voluntary sectors.

The director of the group, Allan Hyde, said it had no objective other than to record as accurately as possible the number of deaths among the Iraqi population as a result of the invasion and ensuing conflict.

When a "Duplicate" America Moves In

My patient suffered from a variation of Capgras syndrome, in which people are replaced by inexact duplicates. It has been considered rare, but the more I work with geriatric patients, the more I am diagnosing it.

The disorder was first described in 1923 by the French psychiatrists Joseph Capgras and Jean Reboul-Lachaux. They treated a 53-year-old who believed that her husband, her children, her neighbors and even she had been replaced by exact “doubles” in a plot to steal her property.

In Capgras, there is an uncoupling of perception and recognition that leads many investigators to theorize that there may be a neurological, organic cause that remains unknown. Psychoanalysts have seen Capgras as an unusual form of displacement in which the patient rejects the loved one whenever negative features have to be attributed.

Yet guilt and ambivalence prevent the patient from becoming conscious of the rejection. The bad feelings are displaced to a double, who is an impostor and may safely be rejected. Anna Freud thought this delusion allowed patients to defend themselves against loss and distress about changes in close relationships.

After resuming her medicine, my patient quickly lost her belief that her husband, parents and psychiatrist were doubles. When she was healthy enough to return to outpatient treatment, I asked whether she had ever seen the movie “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” She said no.

I thought I’d better not explain the plot to her.

When a 'Duplicate' Family Moves In

The medical industry in the U.S. is so utterly and completely compromised by greed, misinformation and just plain, old fashion American stupidity and ignorance, that 'doctors' like Ms. Berman (the author of the above article from the NY Times, September 11, 2007) often times actually do more harm than good - a notion similar to that found in the 'inverted' (and Satanic) totalitarian world of Fahrenheit 451.

Except nothing short of treason from The New York Times, a unrepentant shill for the pharmaceutical industry, the pornification of American, neo-con imperialist aggression (as evidenced by Judith Miller's dual NY Times- Pentagon employment in the lead up to the Iraq War) and unquestioning support for the illegal Occupation of Palestine.

Antonin Artaud suffered from Capgras 'delusion' as well (see Deleuze and Guattari's two volumes on Capitalism and Schizophrenia - keep in mind, these are, in part, pataphysical texts), which may also be a result of longterm, undiagnosed hypothyrodism (more rare conditions include Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and Hashimoto's Encaphalopathy). This possibly leads to a physiological condition known as Myxedema Madness (see full text, pdf file). The thyroid (meaning 'shield' in Greek) is commonly described in medical literature as having a 'butterfly-like' shape. The butterfly designation should also be of interest to those who have studied the MK-ULTRA mind control program known as Monarch, which involves trauma, sexual abuse and the creation of multiple personalities in children.

To paraphrase Pablo Picasso: no experience, however strange or hallucinatory, is not without its validity or significance; and the 'delusions' of the 'patient' described above probably contain some degree of truth and relevance. Perhaps what the 'patient' is experiencing is not necessarily true Capgras 'delusion' but the vague sensation that the faculties of those previously near and dear to her have been compromised in some horrific, yet very subtle way.

Macdonald is, of course, speaking of a HAARP type system, which Dr. Begich has also written extensively about in the past. I would venture to guess, from some of the recent goings on in my personal life and in the rest of human controlled planet earth - especially the U.S. and controlled territories, which have become the of embodiment of the faux ´liberation´ contained in the Futurist Manifesto of Lust (1912) and in Huxley´s 1932 Brave New World - that this system (probably one of many) is indeed operational.

The New York Times also recently 'celebrated' the rising stardom of teen Disney replicant Miley Cyrus in an article describing her popular television sitcom, Hannah Montana, as " an examination of the pleasures and pitfalls of multiple identity..." and essentially condoned pedophilia, group sex with underage teenagers, and child prostitution with the implication contained in the following headline:

It is safe to say at this point that if you even remotely have a heart, courage or much of a brain left, the epicenter of this New World Order (the U.S.) has become so degraded as to be rendered almost completely unlivable. And it is also safe to say that the 'spark' within experience that used to make each of us unique, individual beings has been brutally snuffed out by human arrogance and greed.

The standardization of the human 'product' has finally arrived and Aldous Huxley's Lenina has been officially anointed with the Mark of the Beast and Crowned queen of the world.

The Whore is now hardwired.

A Heart of Stone, Unattached to a Brain

Schwarzenegger presented himself at the RNC as the incarnation of American superiority, the living evidence that "working hard and playing by the rules" - whatever those were - could take a person anywhere in freedom's land.

Arnold resurrected the specter of Communism and the moral aporias of the Cold War by burnishing his own history with wild hyperbole no nativist politician could have convincingly pulled off. It was propaganda in the service of narcissism, one of the many skills that George W. Bush himself had barely developed beyond the most rudimentary and obvious level. Schwarzenegger had refined it, with all the resources of Hollywood long before, into an effective tool, something like a jackhammer that produced a noise no more annoying than the wheeze of a dental drill in somebody else's mouth.

The cunning European peasant youth who reads the world around him exclusively in terms of obstacles to his own advancement is a cherished figure of American immigrant mythology. It's easy to credit such a youth's fear "that the soldiers would pull my father or uncles out of the car, and I'd never see them again."

Even if you found the general drift of this speech appalling, only a heart of stone would fail to hear the ring of authenticity, especially a heart that grew up during the Cold War. That is, a heart unattached to a brain that didn't know that Styria, the Austrian province where Schwarzenegger grew up, was occupied after World War II by the Allies, and that there never existed more than a few Soviet tanks anywhere in postwar Austria, least of all Styria. (Austria was, in fact, the only country from which the Soviet voluntarily withdrew after being awarded it at the Yalta Conference. ) Or that the date of Schwarzenegger's birth through 1947 through 1968, the year he came to our shores, every Austrian  chancellor was a conservative, and the country run by coalition governments.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Is President of 12 Percent of Us

The only way Arnold Schwarzenegger has changed since he became governor of California is that he’s gotten even bigger. As big as his huge, embattled, impossible state. Big enough to lead the nation into a new kind of politics

It was funny. What Arnold said at the meeting of the advocates -- it was funny. He didn’t laugh; he hardly ever does when he says something funny. He only laughs when someone says something funny to him, and then he opens that big androidal mouth, and you feel a little bit like a lion tamer, if you’re close enough -- you’re in the position of counting on his goodwill. He likes people who make him laugh. But because he doesn’t laugh at his own jokes, you can’t be sure if he’s joking or not. That’s the way it was at the meeting of the advocates. He didn’t laugh and neither did they. But that doesn’t mean what he said wasn’t funny. It had to be, or else he never would have gotten away with it.

He had gotten away with it his entire life, you see -- he’d gotten away with the imposition of his will. What he had in excess was one of the things the world had historically found unpalatable -- the Teutonic will -- and his genius had been to cast that will as a comic invention, and therefore an American one. He never had to hide his will or his ambition; he simply had to make his will and ambition an essential part of being Arnold, and then turn being Arnold into the performance of his lifetime.

You’ve heard of free will, of course. Well, with Arnold, there was freed will, and he used it, in the words of his chief of staff, “to visualize success in a way that doesn’t visualize obstacles.” Hell, when he came to the United States in ‘68, he didn’t speak any English, and visualization was what he had, a talent for seeing the next thing. He visualized success in bodybuilding and then attained it by bending his body and then the entire sport to his will. And then he saw the next thing: “I heard that Charles Bronson was making a million dollars a movie,” he told me. “That was a very big deal to an immigrant -- a million dollars a movie. So I went to see a Charles Bronson movie. And I said, I can do that. And people said, No you can’t -- have you ever heard yourself? And I said, I can do that. And then I made a million dollars a movie, so the next thing became keeping the million. And that’s how I got into business.”

And that’s pretty much how he became the governor of California as well. “I knew the time would come, and when the [Gray Davis] recall happened, it was handed to me. It was like God said, Hey, you want to circumvent the Republican primaries, because you’re not conservative enough for them? Here’s the recall. I was absolutely convinced that I would become governor, no matter what. And so I jumped in there. And I had the will to do it. When I campaigned in 2003, people said, You don’t have the experience. I said, There’s a storehouse of experience up in Sacramento and look at the shape the state is in. So it couldn’t be experience that makes the state in good shape. What it needs is the will. The will to go and make tough decisions and the right decisions. I have the will, is what I told the people. And that’s exactly what I have. I have the will.”

In celebration of Christmas, there was a potluck lunch at the capitol. Members of Arnold’s staff cooked for one another, and then -- because they were members of Arnold’s staff -- judged one another, rating each dish. It was a celebration and a competition, and when Arnold stood up to speak after being introduced by Susan Kennedy as “the greatest governor in the history of California,” he said he liked the annual event because it was a competition: “I like it when there are winners, and I especially like it when there are losers.“

And then he called an aide to his side and whispered a question in his ear: “What is his name?”

“Johnny Masterson,” the aide answered. And then Arnold called Johnny Masterson to come up and stand with him near the Christmas tree, introducing him as “my new cochief of staff. Johnny’s my buddy, because he is working out. Would you do something for us, Johnny? Would you flex for us for just a second. . . .”

Johnny was a small man with dark hair, a mail-room employee with Down’s syndrome. Gamely and shyly, he flexed, and then, in an impulsive gesture, he threw his arms around his boss. But he wasn’t big enough to hold him, his arms weren’t long enough to encompass him, and Arnold suddenly looked huge, with Johnny’s small hands clutching at the wings of his shoulders and Johnny’s face pressed against his chest. And I thought: Okay, he’s gotten away with this, too. He’s gotten away with not knowing Johnny’s name, he’s gotten away with pretending he did, he’s gotten away with the performance of compassion, and this was why he was good at politics. And then I looked at him, and I looked at them, and realized he’d gotten away with nothing. The disparity of scale he experienced with Johnny Masterson was what he experienced with just about everyone his entire life. It wasn’t what made him transcendent; it was what he had to transcend, and now that’s exactly what he went about doing, with the sheer size of his embrace.

False Prophets Work 'Miracles' That Deceive

"Oprah and Friends" to Teach A Course in Miracles

Oprah Winfrey will be letting out all the stops on her XM Satellite Radio program this coming year. Beginning January 1, 2008, “Oprah & Friends” will offer a year-long course on the New Age teachings of  A Course in Miracles.1  A lesson a day throughout the year will completely cover the 365 lessons from the Course in Miracles  “Workbook.”

By the end of the year, “Oprah & Friends” listeners will have completed all of the lessons laid out in the Course in Miracles Workbook. Those who finish the Course will have a wholly redefined spiritual mindset—a New Age worldview that includes the belief that there is no sin, no evil, no devil, and that God is “in” everyone and everything. A Course in Miracles teaches its students to rethink everything they believe about God and life. The Course Workbook bluntly states: “This is a course in mind training”5 and is dedicated to “thought reversal.”6

Teaching A Course in Miracles will be Oprah’s longtime friend and special XM Satellite Radio reporter Marianne Williamson—who also happens to be one of today’s premier New Age leaders. She and Conversations with God author Neale Donald Walsch co-founded the American Renaissance Alliance in 1997, that later became the Global Renaissance Alliance of New Age leaders, that changed its name again in 2005 to the Peace Alliance. This Peace Alliance seeks to usher in an era of global peace founded on the principles of a New Age/New Spirituality that they are now referring to as a “civil rights movement for the soul.”7 They all agree that the principles of this New Age/New Spirituality are clearly articulated in A Course in Miracles—which is fast becoming the New Age Bible.

Thus the New Age teachings of A Course in Miracles are about to be taught by Marianne Williamson to millions of listeners on Oprah’s XM Satellite Radio program. Listeners are encouraged to buy A Course in Miracles for the year-long course. An audio version of A Course in Miracles recited by Richard (John Boy Walton) Thomas is also available on compact disc.

Popular author Wayne Dyer told his PBS television audience that the “brilliant writing” of A Course in Miracles would produce more peace in the world.21 Williamson’s New Age colleague, Neale Donald Walsch, said his “God” stated that “the era of the Single Saviour is over”22 and that he (“God”) was responsible for authoring the teachings of A Course in Miracles.23

Double Standards of the New World Order

Men and women from all over the Southern West Bank stand in line for hours each morning on their way to work outside of  a Bethlehem checkpoint.

In June and August 1980, the UN Security Council declared Israel's annexation of Jerusalem 'null and void' under international law. In December of 1981, the UN Security Council declared Israel's annexation of the Syrian Golan Heights 'null and void' under international law. On 9 August 1990, the UN Security Council declared Iraq's annexation of Kuwait 'null and void' under international law. For the third declaration - but not for the first two - the West would insist on a strict application of 'international law.' Arabs already knew, of course, that there was one rule of law for the Israelis, a quite different one for non-Israelis.

Not only is it a 'double standard,' as Fisk describes it here, but it also constitutes intentional ignorance about how the mechanisms of abusive Occupation work. The same pattern endlessly repeats itself without fail in the criminal behavior of the perpetrator: avoid acceptance of responsibility - deny (reverse blame), counterattack and feign victimhood.

Unfortunately, twelve-step programs are inappropriate and ineffectual for healing forty years of humiliation and abuse at the hands of the criminally insane and others who have chosen to become complicit in these heinous acts with their silence, smoke screens and red herrings - traitorous lies, deceptions and criminal insanity across the board.
