American eugenic crusades proliferated into a worldwide campaign, and in the 1920s came to the attention of Adolf Hitler. Under the Nazis, American eugenic principles were applied without restraint, careening out of control into the Reich's infamous genocide. During the pre-War years, American eugenicists openly supported Germany's program. The Rockefeller Foundation financed the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute and the work of its central racial scientists. Once WWII began, Nazi eugenics turned from mass sterilization and euthanasia to genocidal murder. One of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute doctors in the program financed by the Rockefeller Foundation was Josef Mengele who continued his research in Auschwitz, making daily eugenic reports on twins. After the world recoiled from Nazi atrocities, the American eugenics movement — its institutions and leading scientists — renamed and regrouped under the banner of an enlightened science called human genetics.
As recently as 2003, the State of California issued official apologies to the victims of state and corporate sponsored eugenics, which was practiced by public and private medical doctors and psychiatrists and financially sponsored by major corporate interests in California from 1909 until supposedly the mid 1970´s. However, there is a great deal of evidence to suggest that a program of voluntary eugenics is still being propagated and encouraged by the medical business, the pharmaceutical industry, the financial sector, and mainstream media—the latter of which serves as the propaganda and consent manufacturing arm of these interests—especially in the United States and in California in particular— to the present day.
Again, citing from Edwin Black's War Against the Weak, one of the methods by which applied eugenics operated was: ...through the destruction of the individual by some adverse feature of the environment, such as excessive cold, or bacteria, or by bodily deficiency. Eugenic breeders believed American society was not ready to implement an organized lethal solution. But many mental institutions and doctors practiced improvised medical lethality and passive euthanasia on their own…Some doctors practiced passive eugenicide one newborn infant at a time. Others doctors at mental institutions engaged in lethal neglect.
Under the auspices of a philosophy of reductionist materialism, human beings simply become 'meat,' which requires breeding and branding. This 'meat' is subsequently processed for specific tasks—very similar to the breeding processes found in the cattle industry. Or, as noted earlier, a comparison can be made to analogous processes found in the selective breeding of animals by a prototypical manifestation of the SPCA, which, again, was a great inspiration to the early eugenics movement.
The escalating climate of ignorant acceptance for such extremist and militarized illogical memetics has been magnified and encouraged by the emergence of Arnold Schwarzenegger as Governor of California. Schwarzenegger was highly vocal in his support for the anti-immigrant measure Proposition 187, amongst an extremely long list of other questionable and deceptive philosophical and political stances. The main sponsor and financial backer of Proposition 187 was The Pioneer Fund via the group FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform). The Pioneer Fund is an organization which has been promoting eugenics, forced sterilization, anti-immigration policies, social Darwinism and ´scientific racism´ in the United States and Europe since 1937.
