Erhard is a former Scientologist, and brought many of their tenants and methods with him to est. A shortcut to understanding est is to imagine Scientology, except replace "science fiction writer" with "encyclopedia salesman".
In the mid 1970s, Erhard financed Jack Sarfatti and the Physics/Consciousness Research Group, and was involved with Michael Murphy and the Esalen Institute. According to Sarfatti, Erhard gave funds to the SRI remote viewing project. (Sarfatti, Jack, "In the Thick of It")
John Mack was formerly on the board of advisors for est. Erhard is thanked in the Acknowledgments page of Mind Reach, the book by Harold Puthoff and Russell Targ describing the remote viewing research done at SRI.
According to John Wilhelm, many of the principles in the SRI remote viewing experiments were Scientologists:
Hal Puthoff is claimed to have been at OT (Operating Thetan) Level III at the time of the experiments. He wrote the preface to Scientology: a Religion (can anyone provide a copy), and was married in a Scientology church. "Puthoff says his involvement with the church more than a decade ago was casual"

He presented a paper entitled "Scientological Techniques: A Modern Paradigm for the Exploration of Consciousness and Psychic Integration" (in Proceedings of the First International Congress on Psychotronic Research (Virginia: U.S. Joint Publications Research Service, 9/6/74, Document No. JPRS L/5022-1) at the First International Congress on Psychotronic Research in Prague, Czechoslovakia.

The relevance?
Not too much, as I can see. There is some historical relevance, as the Scientology factor supposedly scared off four potential sponsors of the research at SRI. (McRae, pg 108) Also, skeptics point towards Scientology's belief in psychic powers as a possible bias in the research.
I have my doubts that the Church of Scientology was ever used as a CIA front, as some have suggested. Scientologists have a form of therapy called "auditing", which involves relating details of one's life while being hooked to an "E-meter", which is a primitive lie-detector. This would violate some of the CIA's security protocals. Furthermore, the Church has revealed details about both MK-ULTRA and the government's psychic spying programs through the FOIA, which would be very inappropriate for a CIA proprietary. Also, there are direct connections between SRI and the intelligence community, so an indirect connection via Scientology isn't necessary for the purposes here. However, I could be very wrong.

Founded in 1946 at Stanford University, it went independent in 1970 due to protest of its military contracts. Among them were studies with LSD and chemical warfare. Willis Harman and Alfred Hubbard were contracted to study the influence of LSD on the counter-culture and business.
Remote Viewing Program: Led by Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ. Originally funded by Science Unlimited Research Foundation, San Antonio, TX in April 1972.
The program began with Ingo Swann, after being told of the project by Cleve Backster.
Swann contacted Puthoff on 3/30/72, telling him of previous studies of his abilities. Swann came to the lab that June. His first experiment was to remote view and manipulate a shielded magnetometer. Near the end of this visit, he performed a series of experiments identifying objects inside boxes. Puthoff invited several potential sponsors of his project (including the CIA) to observe, and the CIA was impressed enough to fund an eight month pilot study. Swann returned to New York to clean up some previous commitments.
During this break, Russell Targ joined the research team. At the end of October, Andrija Puharich brought Uri Geller to SRI to be studied for six weeks. After several demonstrations under uncontrolled conditions, Geller did experiments in twisting metal, predicting die rolls, and copying pictures drawn by assistants. Geller was critically evaluated at SRI by Ray Hyman, among others.
Ingo Swann later in 1972 (Swann says he returned in October, Puthoff places Swann's return after Geller's six week study) to start the eight month pilot program funded by the CIA. Reportedly on Swann's suggestion, he began doing remote-viewing experiments using longitude and latitude as a target. A series of 100 experiments were done during the breaks between Swann's normal experiments.
These experiments were formalized into Project SCANATE. These coordinates were supposedly picked by a NSA (National Security Agency) monitor and transmitted to a CIA agent at SRI. On 5/29/73, during this series, Swann identified a military base (reportedly a satellite listening post). Puthoff read these coordinates to Pat Price, whose amazing results led him to join the SRI team. Click here for an extended review of this experiment.
Price and Swann continued their remote viewing experiments, this time using a person as a target. At an assigned time, the viewer would target the person and describe the scene where he/she was located. These experiments were the only ones which have been openly available to other scientists, and have been extensively reviewed (see references below).
In the summer of 1973, Swann finished the eight month pilot program and left SRI. He continued to work occasionally with the project until at least 1988.
By the end of 1973, the SRI team began to use average people in the remote-viewing project, not just "naturals" (i.e. people with natural psychic ability). These experiments included intelligence agents, and reportedly members of Congress. This series of experiments went on until around the fall of 1974, and the lab was allegedly running out of funding.
Author Richard Bach visited the lab for a series of experiments starting in April, 1975. Other experiments included experimenting with an "ESP teaching machne" for NASA. This device simply a random number generator which shows one of four pictures, and the subject tries to guess which picture is chosen each turn. Anoher experiment involved trying to see if individuals could pick signals from a subjects EEG. One subject is in a shielded room, with a strobe light activated at random times, and the other subject tries to detemine when the strobe is on.

In 1977, the Naval Electronics Systems Command contracted SRI (for $87,000) for "an investigation of the ability of certain individuals to perceive remote faint electromagnetic stimuli at a noncognitive level of awareness."

The activities of the lab are somewhat more sketchy after this point, but published accounts (such as Targ, Russell and Harary, Keith, Mind Race, Villard Books, 1984; Swann, Ingo, Everybody's Guide to Natural ESP, Jeremy P. Tarcher, Inc., 1991) suggest more of the same, with little expansion and almost no work to isolate the actual mechanisms at work.
Hal Puthoff remains fairly tight-lipped about the classified aspects of the program, but says that the activities focused on studying the possible threat of psi in enemy hands than on actual operations. However, Swann and Price did view many military targets as part of their experiments, so the line between research and operations becomes a bit fuzzy. I am somewhat skeptical of the claim that the CIA entered the picture sometime after Puthoff began his experiments with Ingo Swann. Here we have a CIA connected parapsychologist (Backster) introducing a subject with a Top Secret clearance (Swann) to a former Naval Intelligence officer who has worked with the NSA (Puthoff) who is working at a military contracted research lab (SRI). I find it highly doubtful that the intelligence community was not involved until experiments were well under way. It's more likely that the CIA was involved from the beginning, and that they might have even initiated the program.
The early experiments were allegedly conducted by researchers involved with Scientology and believers in psi, which some feel may have tainted the data. There are several critical references below.
SRI has a history of mind-control research. "Under contract to the Army, SRI chemists studied psychoactive components like LSD for their potential as chemical-warfare agents". (McRae, pg 94) Puthoff has argued that his research at SRI had nothing to do with mind control (see Puthoff/Constantine Debate). However, it is interesting to note that Puthoff and Targ researched mind-machine interfaces in context with the remote viewing project. (R. Targ, P. Cole and H. E. Puthoff, "Techniques to Enhance Man/Machine Communication," Stanford Research Institute Final Report on NASA Project NAS7-100 (August 1974). Note: I have not seen this paper, but it was referenced by Puthoff). However, this may be techno-speak for telekinesis, much like "novel biological information transfer" is for telepathy.
Around 1976, Dr. Sam Koslov, scientific assistant to the secretary of the Navy, received a briefing on various research projects, including those at SRI. Among the headings on the screen describing SRI's work included "ELF AND MIND CONTROL". ELF stands for extremely low frequency, and electromagnetic radiation in this band has an effect on the central nervous system and has been studied by the military under projects Pandora, Sanguine, and others. Koslov was reportedly upset and shut off Navy funding (although the Navy has been, and continues to be, one of the biggest supporters of electronic mind-control). (Wilhelm, 1977)
Some of the early experiments involved Elizabeth Rauscher as a consultant. In 1985, Hal Puthoff left the lab and was replaced as director by Edwin May, who had joined the lab in 1976. Russell Targ had left in 1982. For reasons unknown to me, the research aspect of the program were transferred from SRI to SAIC in 1991.

Just for the record, in 1993 Laurance S. Rockefeller pumped $10,000 into the Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE) to help keep their 'Journal' up and publishing. Whatever else it does, the 'Journal' give the mind-trekkers and SRI/Stanford alumnae a "refereed" vehicle for keeping the culture alive.
The amount was routed through the Human Potential Foundation, then chaired by U. S. Senator Claiborne Pell, who also is a board member of the Institute of Noetics, directed by ex-SRI guy, Dr. Willis Harmon. "HPF's" president is and was Cdr. C. B. "Scott" Jones, Jr., Ph. D., (USN-Ret.). The SSE donation was made at the request of Peter Sturrock, Ph. D., another veteran of the research in question. Another SSE board member is Dr. Jacques Vallee. Basically some of these fellows are trying to figure out what "these entities" are doing playing around with humanity from "camouflaged" repose in the "interstitial space" interpenetrating our consensus reality. By taking advantages of our limited sensate foci, and working "in league" with some guys who tossed their mental cookies upon "confrontations of their fixed realities" by irrefutable evidence that IT'S REAL, some of these entities are allegedly (according to some SSE members I have interviewed), making a "play" for Ma Earth.
Or maybe not.
Dr. P: Hope to make you acquaintance more directly sometime. There is the matter of an alleged "psi weapon" to discuss. And is the "peace movement" generalizing to the debate about how to deal with these non-physical interlopers in our dimension? So now we're having a little fuss over control of "the bridge" on Spaceship Earth, as Bucky liked to call it. And the "CRV" veterans who take their oaths to our Constitution are apparently rather peeved at what they've been learning, since coming out of their "compartmented" lives to see what the "rest of the story" has been, i.e., some of the folks who've pursued what we'd better call "Applied Anomalous Phenomena," (translated to: "We do it to you!").
Looking forward to your reconsideration and perhaps finally deciding, "It's time." As Jacques has pointed out (to you guys, and to the public MANY times), these "entities" have a pattern of cycling their "involvements" along with societal perception from time to time. Only now, it's different. The "Big Boys" are going to "go for it," what with the Post-Cold War chaos and disorder that has them vulnerable to poaching and ruthlessly competitive folks in other financial venues who have LONG coveted the power and control of the Rockefellerian cabal and their friends on resource streams on which their power, and unfortunately, most of our society's underpinnings, are based.

As former Director of the SRI Cognitive Sciences Program at SRI (from 1972-1985), I can assure you that, in contradiction to your claims, no mind-control program was being pursued. Since your claim would appear to be a major theme in an upcoming book of yours on real or imagined CIA conspiracies, I have some doubt that you will be persuaded by the facts, but, being a stickler for historical accuracy, at least I will have put the truth on the record.
With regard to your reference to the Koslov briefing, if a briefer flashed a chart on his screen labeling SRI's work as "ELF and Mind Control," the briefer was clearly in error, and I would not blame Koslov from being upset.
Our project for the Navy, which is well known in published reports in IEEE and AAAS publications, was simply to see whether remote viewers attempting to focus on light flashes in a remote laboratory would register any specific signature in their EEG. The answer: we found some suggestive EEG correlations with the light flashes, but nothing very robust. (See, e.g., May, Targ and Puthoff, "EEG Correlates to Remote Light Flashes under Conditions of Sensory Shielding," in _Mind at Large: IEEE Symposia on the Nature of ESP_, ed. by Tart, Puthoff and Targ, Praeger, 1979, New York).
As you can see, your suggestion that the project involved "projecting words and images directly to the cranium" is pure fantasy, and the subjects for these experiments were close colleagues who excitedly volunteered for the task, not victims of mind-control experimentation as you claim.
With regard to the SRI remote viewing program in general, although you have characterized it in terms of "transmitting images to the brains of test subjects under the misnomer 'remote viewing'," the complete inaccuracy of your claim is now a matter of clear public record because of recent declassification. This includes articles written by myself and others responsible for the program in the current issue of the _Jour. of Scientific Exploration_, vol. #10, No. 1, Spring 1996, that provides detailed records of the purposes, protocols, sponsor-client relationships, and references to SRI reports now available through FOIA. And the public record now also includes a deluge of firsthand "insider" reports written by program remote viewers, both those in research roles and those in military intelligence. These not only make for fascinating reading but clearly document how far off the mark your speculations are, and how far behind the curve of public knowledge your book will be.
You also claim that EM mind-control machines were championed at SRI by Karl Pribram. As far as I am aware, Pribram never worked at SRI. (You may be confusing Stanford University, where he did have an appointment for a time, and SRI.)
By the time you get into claiming SRI-hatched conspiracies involving the SLA, Scientologists, the People's Temple and the Panthers, your bus has left me far behind. A certain class of reader will no doubt find your version much more exciting and believable than the mundane facts, so I have no illusions that you will backtrack to reality, but at least those of us who know, and others who bother to check, will know the difference.

The latest to speak out in the mass media was Ed Dames, who claims there is a "time beacon" in Arizona that is signalling "aliens" as they pass through our space. The SLA was a product of SRI programming. I don't expect you to confirm this. On the contrary, I expect you to appeal to the "aliens" to fill you in. Perhaps you could apply your enhanced perceptions to confirming that I wrote honestly.
Your laser work is classified. What do those devices do? And now the Washington Post and a ranking military official have presumably got it wrong, and you're offering up corrections....
The only correction I take seriously regards Pribram, who was the head of the neruropsychology research Lab at Stanford. If I didn't say so before, I will state this in the future and make it clear in the copy under discussion.

Cassandra Syndrome is a term applied to predictions of doom about the future that are not believed, but upon later reflection turn out to be correct. This denotes a psychological tendency among people to disbelieve inescapably bad news, often through denial. The person making the prediction is caught in the dilemma of knowing what is going to happen but not being able to resolve the problem without the cooperation of others.
The origin of the named is derived from Cassandra, who, using her prescience, foresaw the demise of Troy. No one believed her.
Cassandra Syndrome
Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological response sometimes seen in a hostage, in which the hostage exhibits seeming loyalty to the hostage-taker, in spite of the danger (or at least risk) the hostage has been put in. Stockholm syndrome is also sometimes discussed in reference to other situations with similar tensions, such as battered woman syndrome, child abuse cases, and bride kidnapping.

Outside of the criminal context, a form of the syndrome may take place in military basic training, in which "training is a mildly traumatic experience intended to produce a bond", with the goal of forming military units which will remain loyal to each other even in life-threatening situations.
Similarly, the effects of the "hazing" system of induction into groups such as fraternities and sororities have been compared to the syndrome. In cultural anthropology a similar symptom is common to bride capture situations.
Loyalty to a more powerful abuser — in spite of the danger that this loyalty puts the victim in — is common among victims of domestic abuse, battered partners and child abuse (dependent children). In many instances the victims choose to remain loyal to their abuser, and choose not to leave him or her, even when they are offered a safe placement in foster homes or safe houses. This syndrome was described by psychoanalysts of the object relations theory school (see Fairbairn) as the phenomenon of psychological identification with the more powerful abuser.

Envy's Attack on Creativity
Goya's picture of Saturn (Cronos in Greek mythology) eating one of his children is horrific. It is an insightful depiction of an envious attack on creativity. Saturn's face shows malevolence, rage, anguish and horror to the point of madness. According to Greek mythology, Cronos was, with savage irony, the god of fertility, one of the earliest of the gods. He had castrated his father Uranus at his mother Gaia's behest because she was tired of ceaseless childbearing and angry because Uranus had imprisoned many of their children. Cronos led a rebellion of the Titans and became the leader of the gods in his father's place but he forgot to placate his mother for usurping his father's place and not freeing his brothers. She foretold that he too would be replaced as king of the gods by one of his children. To avert this misfortune Cronos ate his many children at birth till he was tricked by his wife and given a stone to eat instead of the last child, who was Zeus and who duly became king.
In devouring his offspring Cronos showed scant regard for them as sentient beings and that is precisely what envy does to the one who is envied. It negates their subjective reality. As I said above we go to some lengths to avoid being envied; it is an uncomfortable and difficult experience. The envied one feels the attack of envy as a repudiation of their self. All one is and has been is discounted; all the envier sees is the success of the now. The hard work, the suffering, the penury, the anxiety, all are obliterated by the envier. The envied one is no longer a person, they are an object - a thing. 'Whether I now ridicule or covet this possession is not so important as the seeming advantage I gain by reducing... you to your possession (Farber, 1976:40). We do not ask to be envied, indeed we seek to avoid it, but once triggered there is nothing we can do about it. It is the fact of being that is the target, not what we are doing. Nietzsche said, "If I cannot have something, no one is to have anything, no one is to be anything!" (quoted in Ulanov 1983:20)

Pallas Athena. Because of a prophecy that his child would become greater than him, Zeus decided to devour Metis in the first month of her pregnancy. This cannibalistic type of aborting his child was not successful however. Metis immediately began making a helmet and robe for her fetal daughter. The hammering as she made the helmet caused Zeus great pain and Prometheus, Hephaestus, Hermes or Palaemon (depending on the sources examined) cleaved Zeus's head with the double-headed Minoan axe (labrys). Athena leaped from Zeus's head, fully grown and armed, and Zeus was none the worse for the experience.

When foreign molecules enter the body, the resulting response is not their automatic destruction but regulation of their levels within the system's other cognitive activities. The response will vary and will depend upon the entire context of the network.
When immunologists inject large amounts of a foreign agent into the body, as they do in standard animal experiments, the immune system reacts with the massive defensive response described in the classical theory. However, this is a highly contrived laboratory situation. In its natural surroundings, an animal does not receive large amounts of harmful substances. The small amounts that do enter its body are incorporated naturally into the ongoing regulatory activities of its immune network.

To preserve the cooperative, peaceful uses of space for the benefit of all humankind by permanently prohibiting the basing of weapons in space by the United States, and to require the President to take action to adopt and implement a world treaty banning space-based weapons.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the `Space Preservation Act of 2001'.
SEC. 2. REAFFIRMATION OF POLICY ON THE PRESERVATION OF PEACE IN SPACE.
Congress reaffirms the policy expressed in section 102(a) of the National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 (42 U.S.C. 2451(a)), stating that it `is the policy of the United States that activities in space should be devoted to peaceful purposes for the benefit of all mankind.'.
SEC. 3. PERMANENT BAN ON BASING OF WEAPONS IN SPACE.
The President shall--
(1) implement a permanent ban on space-based weapons of the United States and remove from space any existing space-based weapons of the United States; and
(2) immediately order the permanent termination of research and development, testing, manufacturing, production, and deployment of all space-based weapons of the United States and their components.
SEC. 4. WORLD AGREEMENT BANNING SPACE-BASED WEAPONS.
The President shall direct the United States representatives to the United Nations and other international organizations to immediately work toward negotiating, adopting, and implementing a world agreement banning space-based weapons.
SEC. 5. REPORT.
The President shall submit to Congress not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and every 90 days thereafter, a report on--
(1) the implementation of the permanent ban on space-based weapons required by section 3; and
(2) progress toward negotiating, adopting, and implementing the agreement described in section 4.
SEC. 6. NON SPACE-BASED WEAPONS ACTIVITIES.
Nothing in this Act may be construed as prohibiting the use of funds for--
(1) space exploration;
(2) space research and development;
(3) testing, manufacturing, or production that is not related to space-based weapons or systems; or
(4) civil, commercial, or defense activities (including communications, navigation, surveillance, reconnaissance, early warning, or remote sensing) that are not related to space-based weapons or systems.
SEC. 7. DEFINITIONS.
In this Act:
(1) The term `space' means all space extending upward from an altitude greater than 60 kilometers above the surface of the earth and any celestial body in such space.
(2)(A) The terms `weapon' and `weapons system' mean a device capable of any of the following:
(i) Damaging or destroying an object (whether in outer space, in the atmosphere, or on earth) by--
(I) firing one or more projectiles to collide with that object;
(II) detonating one or more explosive devices in close proximity to that object;
(III) directing a source of energy (including molecular or atomic energy, subatomic particle beams, electromagnetic radiation, plasma, or extremely low frequency (ELF) or ultra low frequency (ULF) energy radiation) against that object; or
(IV) any other unacknowledged or as yet undeveloped means.
(ii) Inflicting death or injury on, or damaging or destroying, a person (or the biological life, bodily health, mental health, or physical and economic well-being of a person)--
(I) through the use of any of the means described in clause (i) or subparagraph (B);
(II) through the use of land-based, sea-based, or space-based systems using radiation, electromagnetic, psychotronic, sonic, laser, or other energies directed at individual persons or targeted populations for the purpose of information war, mood management, or mind control of such persons or populations; or
(III) by expelling chemical or biological agents in the vicinity of a person.
(B) Such terms include exotic weapons systems such as--
(i) electronic, psychotronic, or information weapons;
(ii) chemtrails;
(iii) high altitude ultra low frequency weapons systems;
(iv) plasma, electromagnetic, sonic, or ultrasonic weapons;
(v) laser weapons systems;
(vi) strategic, theater, tactical, or extraterrestrial weapons; and
(vii) chemical, biological, environmental, climate, or tectonic weapons.
(C) The term `exotic weapons systems' includes weapons designed to damage space or natural ecosystems (such as the ionosphere and upper atmosphere) or climate, weather, and tectonic systems with the purpose of inducing damage or destruction upon a target population or region on earth or in space.

When the Independant State of Croatia proclaimed its independance on April 10th 1941, during the German invasion of Yugoslavia, part of the land it claimed was the former Austro-Hungarian province of Bosnia-Herzegovina (Bosna i Hercegovina). The province was an ethnic and religious mix, with a portion of the population being Catholic Croatian, a portion being Orthodox Serbian, and a portion being Croatians of the Muslim faith. It was these Muslim inhabitants of Bosnia that Himmler and the SS would target in their recruitment of a Croatian SS Division (although a portion of the future division's men would be Catholic Croatian as well).

Unfortunately, I have a financial relationship with HSBC and they, in addition to Visa and Mastercard, are complicit in the terror crimes of 9/11 and are still allowed to do business in the US. As far as I am concerned, all of my contracts with Visa and Mastercard are null and void. These entities are complicit in Treason against the United States of America and, additionally, are contravening every principle of the Nuremberg Tribunals of 1950 by profiteering from an illegal war of aggression in the Middle East. US Treasury and the IRS are complicit in Treason against the United States of America and War Crimes, Crimes Against Peace and Crimes Against Humanity. Along with Halliburton and other entities incorporated in the US, Corporate America is contravening the spirit of the US Treasury Department’s ‘OFAC’ Policy. Has HSBC USA been audited by the IRS to see if they are indeed an independent subsidiary as per the Iran sanctions loophole? Probably not. Why am I paying for DHS and DoD protection and ‘security’ if these 9/11 terror networks are still in place and are being directly funded by the US consumer and Corporate America? As a patriotic American citizen in a democratic society, I deserve immediate answers to these questions.

In March 2002, it agreed to be the lead arranger of a $155 million credit to help build an ammonia and urea plant for Iran's National Petrochemical Co. In February 2003, HSBC agreed to provide NPC a $108 million export credit to finance equipment and services to construct a petrochemical plant. In July 2004, Iran Khodro Industrial Group, the country's biggest maker of cars and trucks, selected HSBC and BNP Paribas to manage a sale of 300 million euros in bonds. Khodro, which is 40 percent owned by the Iranian government, hadn't sold the bonds as of April. In August 2004, HSBC's Tokyo office joined with ING Groep NV, the biggest Dutch financial services company, and Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Japan's export credit bank, to provide a $154 million loan to NPC to finance imports of Japanese equipment and services, according to the Japanese bank, which lends money to help sales of Japanese products abroad. HSBC also has clients in Syria, the other country the U.S. singles out as among the worst of the designated terror states.

Other shareholders of British Arab Commercial Bank, known as BACB, are the Libyan government's Libyan Arab Foreign Bank, with 25 percent, and Iraq's state-owned Rafidain Bank, with 4.91 percent. Libyan and Iraqi representatives sit on BACB's board alongside HSBC bankers. During Saddam Hussein's rule, an Iraqi representative traveled from Baghdad to London for some board meetings, according to BACB. BACB is a corner of the HSBC empire that specializes in doing business legally with countries that have been marginalized by sanctions, BACB General Manager and Deputy Chief Executive Mohamed Fezzani says.
'A Small Bank'
"We are a small bank, and we know exactly what we are doing,'' Fezzani, 67, says. "As long as we don't finance the wrong stuff.'' BACB's Web site calls these 'niche markets,' listing Iran, Libya, Sudan and Syria along with other countries that aren't on the U.S. terror list, such as Algeria and Morocco. Leaflets promoting BACB's activities in Syria and Libya are displayed in the lobby of its London headquarters on Mansion House Place, a six-story modern cement building decorated with stripes of brick, nestled behind the 250-year-old official residence of the lord mayor of London. HSBC does its Sudan business through BACB, Martin says. BACB also provides HSBC with a base in Libya; HSBC's Web site lists the BACB Tripoli office as its address in that country. ``We are their representatives in the countries where they have no presence,'' says BACB's Fezzani, whose corner office on the top floor of BACB's headquarters overlooks the Bank of England.
Sudan and Syria
Among BACB's clients, he says, are Commercial Bank of Syria, which the U.S. Treasury says has been used by terrorists; the Central Bank of Syria; Sudan's Kanana Sugar Co.; and Bank of Khartoum, a Sudanese state-owned bank undergoing privatization. Fezzani, a Libyan posted to BACB in 1975 by Libyan Arab Foreign Bank, says he, BACB and HSBC take measures to make sure none of the financing BACB provides is misused. BACB has a rule against financing weapons or anything related to the military, he says, and HSBC, as the biggest shareholder, provides legal help to keep the bank in compliance. BACB also hires a cargo inspection contractor to do spot checks of imports it finances to make sure countries such as Syria are actually buying what they say they are. Fezzani points out the window toward the Bank of England, which has been one of BACB's regulators. "They had a sanctions committee that came to examine us and found everything perfect,'' he says.
Enforcing Sanctions
Bank of England spokesman Peter Rodgers confirmed the central bank had audited BACB and said he couldn't discuss the outcome. The Bank of England helped enforce U.K. and UN sanctions against Libya and UN sanctions against Iraq. In the U.S., HSBC's business dealings -- like those of dozens of other banks including New York-based Citigroup and JPMorgan -- have fallen afoul of sanctions. The U.S. Treasury Department has fined at least 104 financial services companies for more than 300 transactions related to terrorists and terror sponsors since the beginning of 1998, according to a Bloomberg News analysis of Treasury documents that detail fines. The Treasury disclosed the records, which include copies of Treasury's letters to the companies, in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Public Citizen, the consumer group founded by Ralph Nader, and the Corporate Crime Reporter newsletter, both based in Washington. Banks say most penalties stem from employees accidentally allowing money transfers to companies, people or countries blocked by the U.S. In some cases, banks voluntarily disclose the transfers after discovering the mistakes.
Modest Penalties
The maximum civil penalty per violation is $11,000 under Iran, Sudan, Syria and terrorism sanctions, according to a Treasury Department fact sheet, and they're often negotiated lower. That provides little deterrent, Arizona Treasurer David Petersen says. "Some of the fines are so puny it's laughable,'' the 55- year-old Republican says. The biggest banks have the greatest number of fines, according to Treasury records. Citigroup, the biggest U.S. bank, paid at least 22 fines from the start of 1998 to April 2005. JPMorgan, the No. 2 U.S. bank, had at least 32. Bank of America Corp. had at least 19, and Wachovia Corp. had at least 24. Both banks are based in Charlotte, North Carolina. American Express had at least 10. "We handle millions of international transactions, and occasionally, an inadvertent human or system error occurs,'' says Shirley Norton, a spokeswoman at Bank of America. "As soon as we become aware of such an instance, we voluntarily report it.''
Fined 18 Times
The Treasury Department has fined HSBC at least 18 times under terror-related sanctions since the start of 1998. One penalty was for a transfer in April 2000 of $100,000 benefiting the Taliban, which at the time was running Afghanistan and providing bin Laden and his al-Qaeda organization with the base from which he plotted the Sept. 11 attacks. Some U.S. regulators say HSBC's controls are inadequate. In April 2003, HSBC Bank USA agreed with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the State of New York Banking Department to improve its system of monitoring incoming and outgoing fund transfers for suspicious activity, according to the New York Fed. The agreement said there were "deficiencies'' in the bank's anti-money-laundering policies and procedures, customer due diligence practices and internal controls. "We are taking a number of steps to upgrade our systems and procedures," then HSBC Bank USA Chief Executive Youssef Nasr said in a statement at the time.

Western banks are also involved. For example, the Giro Credit Bank in Vienna had no problem administering the $350 million account of Islamic fundamentalists for the war in Bosnia. The al-Shamal Islamic Bank in Khartoum uses a correspondent bank, the British Arab Commercial Bank, and the al-Shamal bank is seen by secret services to have administered a great part of bin Laden’s business interests in the second half of the 1990s. The British Arab Commercial Bank is 25% owned by the Libyan Central Bank-controlled Libyan Arab Foreign Bank while another main holder is Hong Kong-Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). During testimony in court regarding the 1998 attacks on the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, the State witness Jamal Mohammed al-Fadl said that Al Qaida members had accounts at al-Shamal. Another account was in the Bank Faisal Islami, a second Sudanese bank that the Geneva-based DMI has part ownership in as well. In the same court case another Al Qaida defector, Essam al-Ridi, said bin Laden took $230,000 and transferred it from al-Shamal Bank to Arizona to acquire a plane which was supposed to fly Stinger missiles from Pakistan to Sudan.

The staff rarely invited guests up to their tenth-floor offices, said the guard, and the company's name was not among those displayed on the lobby wall. Halliburton finally dispatched two Iranian staff members to ask this reporter to leave. Said the guard softly: "We're not too sure what the company is up to."
Actually it's no big mystery. In January Halliburton and the local Oriental Kish Oil won a $308 million contract to drill for gas in Iran's giant South Pars field. "Halliburton and Oriental Kish are the final winners," Akbar Torkan, managing director of Pars Oil & Gas, said on national TV. The statement sparked fury among Iran's hardliners. One newspaper warned, "Footsteps of the Yankees heard moving in on Iran's oil sector."

Halliburton Doing Business with the 'Axis of Evil'
While Halliburton insists its activities in Iran are entirely legal, some in Congress claim that the Houston oil services giant is milking a loophole in the U.S. embargo that allows foreign subsidiaries of American companies to work in Iran. "They are operating on the very boundaries of legality of U.S. law," says Dan Katz, chief counsel for Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-New Jersey)...

Under U.S. law, a foreign subsidiary can legally operate in Iran if it acts independently of its parent and has no American executives. In addition, there's a $40 million limit on how much a non-U.S. company can invest in Iran. Halliburton spokeswoman Beverly Scippa told FORTUNE that HPSL's new contract is worth "between $30 million and $35 million over the next three years."
Nevertheless, Halliburton is under grand-jury investigation for possible sanctions violations in Iran. U.S. Treasury officials began their probe in 2001 after HPSL was found to share its Dubai address and telephone number with Halliburton. Senator Lautenberg plans in February to reintroduce legislation--defeated in the Senate by one vote last year--to ban foreign subsidiaries of U.S. companies from doing business in Iran. Meanwhile, the oilmen in Texas are likely to use the loophole as long as it exists.

Halliburton has consistently argued that it is not in violation of U.S. sanctions law because Halliburton Products & Services Limited (which is registered in the Cayman Islands but located in Dubai) operates autonomously without direction from senior management in Houston. In documents the company has submitted to investigators, for example, Halliburton has stated that Halliburton Product & Services' 133 employes include no Americans and that its five-person board of directors includes four British citizens and one Canadian citizen; “none of them is a U.S. permanent resident alien” or green card holder. “Day to day management and decision-making responsibility at HPSL resides with the Management Director (who is a British citizen) and other local management, all of whom reside in Dubai.”
But other company documents and sources familiar with the Justice Department investigation suggest that, at the very least, U.S. government officials have had questions about the Dubai-based subsidiary’s “independence” for some time. Company disclosures show that the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control first questioned Halliburton about whether it was in compliance of U.S. sanctions against Iran as early as mid-2001. In January, 2004, Treasury raised the issue again after a "60 Minutes" report that Halliburton Products & Services was located in, and receiving mail, in the same Dubai office tower address where another of the company’s principal—and indisputably U.S.-controlled subsidiaries, Kellog Brown & Root—also had offices. This led, according to a company report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, to a referral of the matter by Treasury to the Justice Department for a criminal investigation. Halliburton then received its first a grand jury subpoena for documents on September 16, 2004, according to the firm’s latest filing with the SEC.
A Halliburton official, who asked not to be identified, noted that a Congressional anti-Iran sanctions law—and Treasury Department regulations interpreting it—expressly allowed foreign subsidiaries of U.S. companies that “ran their own affairs” to continue doing business in Iran. This, the official said, is in contrast to U.S.-imposed sanctions on Cuba and North Korea, which explicitly cover all foreign subsidiaries of U.S. companies. (Sen. Frank Lautenberg, a New Jersey Democrat, is pushing legislation to close what he considers the current loophole in the law by prohibiting any foreign subsidiaries of U.S. companies from doing business in Iran.)
WESTERN intelligence agencies are examining more than 40 British companies suspected of being used to launder cash for Osama Bin Laden to finance his terror campaign.
Allegations that Britain is central to the Al-Qaeda terror group's financial empire were being scrutinised as the American Senate was shown a document last week claiming that leading corporations in the Middle East and a member of Bin Laden's family may have helped to manage funds. A chart listed more than 100 suspected Al-Qaeda connections in more than 20 countries.
Further details of the British charities and firms with possible links to Bin Laden emerged in an intelligence report commissioned by the French government. It names 44 British organisations which may be linked to Bin Laden.

In Washington, Carl Levin, chairman of the Senate's permanent investigations subcommittee, said last week that Bin Laden is suspected of using Sudan's Al-Shamal Islamic bank to shield his financial activities. The bank has correspondent accounts with leading western banks, including three in London, and it is believed that Bin Laden may have used these to transfer funds anonymously.
Al-Shamal was allegedly founded with a £30m cash injection by Bin Laden and its shareholders include senior Saudi businessmen. It was claimed in an American trial this year that it was used to transfer Al-Qaeda funds. Al-Shamal last week denied that Bin Laden was a backer.
The British Arab Commercial Bank (BACB), Banque Française de l'Orient and the American Express Bank in London all had accounts linked to the bank. "We closed the account last Monday," said a spokesman for the American Express Bank. The French bank said it was checking for links to Bin Laden. BACB was unavailable for comment.

The central beliefs of Identity are that:
1) - The Biblical God, or Yahweh, created a single race in his own image - the White Race. These are the Chosen People. The message of the Bible, both Old and New testaments, is a message only for the White People. Only White People have souls, or have a hope of salvation. 2) - Before the creation of Adam and Eve, the God Yahweh created a second race. These "Mud People" were intended by God to be the servants and slaves of the White People. They have no souls, are not truly human, and are not valued by God.
3) - The third race of people are the Jews. According to Identity, they were not created by God but by Satan. They are not the Old Testament Israelites, but have simply falsely assumed that ancestry in order to hide their evil origin, and as a cover for their Satanic purposes. MONOXIDE Thumbs a Ride: Drowsy while driving? Make sure carbon monoxide isn't poisoning you at the wheel. A checkup may save a life. Carbon monoxide is a hitchhiker. We all know that this odorless gas, generated by an automobile at the rate of about a cubic foot a minute, will quickly turn a closed garage into a death chamber, but we apt to overlook the fact that it rides along each time we drive out on the highway. Its handiwork shows up in traffic accident news more frequently than most persons realize. The police report may say that the driver 'apparently fell asleep,' or perhaps a big question mark appears in the space where the cause of the accident should have been recorded, since no one remains alive to tell about it. Some of these accidents, it is true, result from lack of sleep or just plain weariness after long hours of driving, but there seems to be no doubt that a good percentage occur when carbon monoxide, stealing a ride in the car, dulls the senses of the driver.

Several recent studies have provided direct evidence for the link between post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and psychosis. Patients with psychotic disorders are known to be at a higher risk of traumatization and PTSD. Additionally, preclinical and clinical data suggest that the effects of trauma exposure on neural networks may provide a common diathesis for disorders like PTSD and schizophrenia. This article reviews evidence on a) the magnitude of association between PTSD and psychosis, b) the causal mechanisms implicated, and c) treatment considerations relevant to this association. A comprehensive MEDLINE search was conducted, and articles pertinent to epidemiological, clinical, and treatment aspects of comorbid PTSD and psychosis were identified. High rates of PTSD characterize patients with severe mental illness. Psychotic phenomena may also be a relatively common manifestation in patients with chronic PTSD. However, in clinical settings, the diagnosis is often missed, and few systematic guidelines exist for the identification and treatment of these comorbidities. Future neurobiological and treatment studies may be useful in better informing the clinical management of these subgroups.

I estimate one person in thirty has this behaviour profile. I describe them as having a disordered personality: an aggressive but intelligent individual who expresses their violence psychologically (constant criticism etc) rather than physically (assault). What does bullying do to my health?
Bullying causes injury to health and makes you ill. How many of these symptoms do you have?

- hypervigilance (feels like but is not paranoia), being constantly on edge

Avoiding acceptance of responsibility - denial, counterattack and feigning victimhood
The serial bully is an adult on the outside but a child on the inside; he or she is like a child who has never grown up. One suspects that the bully is emotionally retarded and has a level of emotional development equivalent to a five-year-old, or less. The bully wants to enjoy the benefits of living in the adult world, but is unable and unwilling to accept the responsibilities that go with enjoying the benefits of the adult world. In short, the bully has never learnt to accept responsibility for their behaviour.
When called to account for the way they have chosen to behave, the bully instinctively exhibits this recognisable behavioural response:
a) Denial: the bully denies everything. Variations include Trivialization ("This is so trivial it's not worth talking about...") and the Fresh Start tactic ("I don't know why you're so intent on dwelling on the past" and "Look, what's past is past, I'll overlook your behaviour and we'll start afresh") - this is an abdication of responsibility by the bully and an attempt to divert and distract attention by using false conciliation. Imagine if this line of defence were available to all criminals ("Look I know I've just murdered 12 people but that's all in the past, we can't change the past, let's put it behind us, concentrate on the future so we can all get on with our lives" - this would do wonders for prison overcrowding).
b) Retaliation: the bully counterattacks. The bully quickly and seamlessly follows the denial with an aggressive counter-attack of counter-criticism or counter-allegation, often based on distortion or fabrication. Lying, deception, duplicity, hypocrisy and blame are the hallmarks of this stage. The purpose is to avoid answering the question and thus avoid accepting responsibility for their behaviour. Often the target is tempted - or coerced - into giving another long explanation to prove the bully's allegation false; by the time the explanation is complete, everybody has forgotten the original question.Both a) and b) are delivered with aggression in the guise of assertiveness; in fact there is no assertiveness (which is about recognising and respecting the rights of oneself and others) at all. Note that explanation - of the original question - is conspicuous by its absence.
c) Feigning victimhood: in the unlikely event of denial and counter-attack being insufficient, the bully feigns victimhood or feigns persecution by manipulating people through their emotions, especially guilt. This commonly takes the form of bursting into tears, which most people cannot handle. Variations include indulgent self-pity, feigning indignation, pretending to be "devastated", claiming they're the one being bullied or harassed, claiming to be "deeply offended", melodrama, martyrdom ("If it wasn't for me...") and a poor-me drama ("You don't know how hard it is for me ... blah blah blah ..." and "I'm the one who always has to...", "You think you're having a hard time ...", "I'm the one being bullied..."). Other tactics include manipulating people's perceptions to portray themselves as the injured party and the target as the villain of the piece. Or presenting as a false victim. Sometimes the bully will suddenly claim to be suffering "stress" and go off on long-term sick leave, although no-one can quite establish why. A corporation is considered a legal 'person' in the United States of America. It has all the similar rights of a real human being. Theoretically, if one is to enter into or continue a 'relationship' with this other 'person,' then the other in the 'relationship' (you) should be able to inquire into the past and present history of said other 'person' or corporation. Otherwise, one is perhaps just engaging in a loveless solicitation of prostitution or fetishizing over pornography--which consists only of a lust for this other 'person's' (or corporation's) 'product.' Credit card companies, for example, do not divulge information to 'consumers' regarding their financial holdings, and are protected by federal guidlines in their decision to make this financial 'relationship' as one way as possible. Next time you 'talk' to a credit card 'corporation' (legal person) ask them if they can give you the name and address of the 'head' of their person, the CEO, and see what they say. Additonally, inform them that you are also 'recording' the telephone conversation for your records, as they might be, and see how quickly the conversation comes to an end.

In amnesiacs, stimuli that at first can be recalled are usually forgotten within 1 min, but the conditions required for this severe forgetting have remained unknown. To examine this, six patients with amnesia due to head injury or stroke and six normal controls heard lists of words (Experiment 1) and stories (Experiment 2). These stimuli were to be recalled immediately or after an extended test delay (10 min in Experiment 1; 1 h in Experiment 2). Although severe forgetting occurred in the amnesiacs following activity-filled delays, much less forgetting occurred in four of these patients after delays spent in a dark, quiet room. This was true even when the patients appeared to sleep during the delays. The results show, in a novel manner, that one deficit underlying their amnesias is vulnerability to retroactive interference.

Another way of examining this convoluted victimization of body and soul is by looking at it as a complex computer program: A file (alter) is created through trauma, repetition and reinforcement. In order to activate (trigger) the file, a specific access code or password (cue or command) is required. The victim/survivor is called a “slave” by the programmer/handler, who in turn is perceived as “master” or “god.” About 75% are female, since they possess a higher tolerance for pain and tend to dissociate easier than males. Subjects are used mainly for cover operations, prostitution and pornography; involvement in the entertainment industry is notable. A former military officer connected to the DIA, told this writer, “In the ‘big picture’ these people [MONARCH victims] are in all walks of life, from the bum on the street to the white-collar guy”. In corroboration, a retired CIA agent vaguely discussed the use of such personnel to be used as “plants” or “chameleons” for the purpose of infiltrating a designated group, gathering information and/or injecting an ulterior agenda.
There are an inordinate amount of alters in the victim/survivor with numerous back-up programs, mirrors and shadows. A division of light-side (good) and dark-side (bad) alters are interwoven in the mind and rotate on an axis.
One of the main internal structures, (of which their are many) within the system is shaped like a double-helix, consisting of seven levels. Each system has an internal programmer which oversees the 'gatekeeper' (demons?) who grant or deny entry into the different rooms. A few of the internal images predominately seen by victims/survivors are trees, the Cabalistic 'Tree of Life,' with adjoining root systems, infinity loops, ancient symbols and letters, spider webs, mirrors or glass shattering, masks, castles, mazes, demons/monsters/aliens, sea shells, butterflies, snakes, ribbons, bows, flowers, hour glasses, clocks, robots, chain-of-command diagrams and/or schematics of computer circuitry boards.

ALPHA. Regarded as “general” or regular programming within the base control personality; characterized by extremely pronounced memory retention, along with substantially increased physical strength and visual acuity. Alpha programming is accomplished through deliberately subdividing the victims personality which, in essence, causes a left brain-right brain division, allowing for a programmed union of L and R through neuron pathway stimulation.
BETA. Referred to as “sexual” programming. This programming eliminates all learned moral convictions and stimulates the primitive sexual instinct, devoid of inhibitions. “cat” alters may come out at this level.
DELTA. This is known as “killer” programming, originally developed for training special agents or elite soldiers (i.e. Delta Force, First Earth Battalion, Mossad, etc.) in covert operations. Optimal adrenal output and controlled aggression is evident. Subjects are devoid of fear; very systematic in carrying out their assignment. Self-destruct or suicide instructions are layered in at this level.
THETA considered to the “psychic” programming. Bloodliners (those coming from multi-generational Satanic families) were determined to exhibit a greater propensity for having telepathic abilities than did non-bloodliners. Due to its evident limitations, however, various forms of electronic mind control systems were developed and introduced, namely, bio-medical human telemetry devices (brain implants), directed-energy lasers using microwaves and/or electromagnetics. It is reported these are used in conjunction with highly-advanced computers and sophisticated satellite tracking systems.
OMEGA. A “self-destruct” form of programming, also known as “Code Green.” The corresponding behaviors include suicidal tendencies and/or self-mutilation. This program is generally activated when the victim/survivor begins therapy or interrogation and too much memory is being recovered.
GAMMA. Another form of system protection is through “deception” programming, which elicits misinformation and misdirection. This level is intertwined with demonology and tends to regenerate itself at a later time if inappropriately deactivated.

The word [liar] is derived from the Indo-European root, leugh, and the old-English, leogan: "to tell a lie". With the prefix, waer, "faith" or "pledge", we get the old-English, waerleogan, or "oath breaker". Waerleogan, in modern English, is Warlock: "a male witch, a demon".
The fossils of the world tell us that false representation, oath breaking, and witchcraft, are part of that complex process known as "lying". A liar, then, is a witch or demon who distorts reality, to your injury and his gain. To establish credibility with you, he may give the appearance of helping you. But in the long term, he claims your life, just as another liar will claim his.
Lying is deadly, and highly contagious. The man who receives his information from a liar will spew out lies when he passes the information on. When you have liars, trained in the demonic arts, controlling the highest seats of governmental authority, you will have liars controlling the information channels. When their lies fill the printed pages, loudspeakers, and TV screens, you will have liars administering the workplaces, marketplaces, schools, churches, and homes. Without realizing it, your nation becomes possessed by demons; your nation practices the politics of witchcraft.
A liar's fortunes are very cleverly established on his pretenses of virtue; otherwise, well-meaning people would have nothing to do with him. He will not think twice about murdering to protect his good reputation.
In a lying society, murder is an acceptable alternative to radically changing one's views. In lying societies, the virtues are brutishness, deceit, sodomy, theft, debt, and suicide. He who is most menacing and monstrous is most popular.
Though powerful in appearance, lies are in reality extremely fragile. There is no protection for a liar except (1) darkness, or (2) the mercy of a more powerful liar. This is why lying societies crave dimness of room and of mind. It is why they seek bondage to human authority.

This impasse is broken by the incarnation of another sort of force, called BABALON. The nature of this force relates to love, understanding, and dionysian freedom, and is the necessary coun- terbalance or correspondence to the manifestation of Horus.
It is indicated that this force is actually incarnate in some living woman, as the result of the described magical operation. A more basic matter, however, is the indication that this force is incarnate in all men and women, and needs only to be invoked to free the spirit from the debris of the old aeon, and to direct the blind force of Horus into constructive channels of under- standing and love. One further point. It should be remembered that all human activi- ties, after the vital functions are fulfilled, arise from the need to love or to be loved. Industrial culture in the United States never attained the brooding complexity of its British cousin. In America it remains jumbled up with a salmagundi of styles that include John Waters' consciously anti-political 'trash aesthetics,' slasher movie Grand Guignol, and the deconstruction of highbrow academia by Parisian postmodernism. The French invasion was closely tied to the cultural left through intellectual icons like Michel Foucault. Unlike the bleak British industrialists, transgressive leftist 'art workers' like Karen Finley wanted to 'épater les bourgeois' and promote good causes like feminism and gay liberation.
Since all good transgressives used drugs, liked porn, and despised 'middle America,' Norman Rockwell, Jesse Helms, and Pat Robertson, a natural alliance existed between the West Side liberals at MOMA and the downtown avant-garde at La Mama. Small groups of mostly straight white male scenesters, however, used transgressive tactics to attack what they saw as the therapeutic left's hegemony over bohemia. Unapologetic bad boys in search of an aesthetic that couldn't be co-opted, they turned to cult leaders like Manson and Jim Jones, serial killers like John Wayne Gacy, violent images of deformed or dismembered bodies, weird conspiracy theories from the far left and far right, UFO abduction tracts, and hate rants by black nationalists and Klansmen.
Some wanted to 'épater les communists' because they believed that artists should not live in a world of self-imposed censorship for fear of violating every leftist and feminist dogma de jour. There was also the fear that bohemia, long a bad boy Shangri-La for sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll, was turning into a therapeutic 'No Smoking' zone. And what better 'in-your-face' way to say 'fuck you' to the sissies, parlor pinks, and Feminazis than to play the ace card of transgression--aesthetic fascism.

[Anton] LaVey, who is often only seen as just a libertarian maverick, called for a new kind of fascism in a 1994 interview with Michael Moynihan in Seconds, Moynihan's essay, "The Faustian Spirit of Fascism," was also published in the Church of Satan's magazine, The Black Flame. LaVey even contributed an introduction to a new edition of "Ragnar Redbeard's" Might Is Right, a Nietzschean and Social Darwinist tract first published in 1896 which LaVey had liberally plagiarized in his own book, The Satanic Bible. She is the wife of David Lane, an Odinist leader of the high-profile far right paramilitary group called the Order, who is now serving a life sentence for conspiring to murder a Denver radio personality named Alan Berg. The author of Might's after word is, arguably, even more "devilish" than LaVey. He is none other than George Hawthorne, head of the white racist musical group RaHoWa (Racial Holy War) and founder of Resistance Records, whom Michael Moynihan interviewed for Seconds and The Black Flame. Moynihan is also thanked in the new edition of Might Is Right for helping make the book possible.
According to Alex Constantine: Parfrey is Jewish, the son of a concentration camp internee who, due to his substandard diet, contracted sugar diabetes. Adam inherited the illness. He has no affection for Nazis because they have made him sick, and it is likely his life will be shortened as a result.
Adam Parfrey may perhaps (intentionally?) serve as an interesting case study or microcosm (...as does Anton 'LaVey' Levine--another 'Jew'--but Parfrey even more so...) for a broader geopolitical 'dilemma.'

This is where the socio-political aspect of this conundrum comes into play. It seems as if there is a clear distinction being made between the 'imaginary' 'Whore of Babalon' and the actual 'Whore of Babylon,' which is this 'global system--' a system which has, oddly and coincidently, made tremendous inroads toward global fascism since 1947. A global fascist state the likes of which has never been seen before on Earth since the dawn of recorded history. There can no longer afford to be a partitioning and compartmentalizion of personal spiritual and political systems. The 'high weirdness' and more hardcore political 'factions' must perhaps integrate and arrive at a synthesis.
The award winning environmental writer Geoffrey Lean wrote: “Future historians, looking back from a much hotter and less hospitable world . . . will puzzle over how a whole generation could have sleepwalked into disaster -- destroying the climate that has allowed human civilization to flourish over the past 11,000 years.”
The overwhelming majority of scientists and international climate monitoring bodies now agree that climate change is taking place, that humans are responsible, and that time is running out. In fact, we could reach “the point of no return” in a decade, reported Lean.
